2016 Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Lindsay Fischer
Lindsay Fischer has been swimming since she was 8 years old. She discovered Bellair in the summer of 2011 and loved it. Lindsay was a member of the Mountain Ridge High School swim team for 4 years. She made it on the state medley relay team her junior year swimming the breaststroke leg. Lindsay will be graduating from Arizona State University this December with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Lindsay loves to swim and looks forward to passing this passion on to the younger swimmers of Bellair.
Assistant Coach: Bri Romero
Bri Romero has been swimming with Bellair since she was 6 and every summer since. She swam all four years in high school; making state 3 of those 4, and was captain for 2 of those years.She graduated from Liberty High school in 2012. She is attending GCC to obtain her Associates of Science. Her top strokes are butterfly and freestyle with the occasional backstroke. She is very competitive and is driven to help her team win another championship this year.

Sabrina has been swimming for ten years. She swam as a Barracuda for eight years. Sabrina graduated from Deer Valley High School in 2014 where she swam long distance freestyle all four years and was captain her senior year. Sabrina is now attending Grand Canyon University where she studies Elementary Education with an Emphasis in English. This will be here second year on staff with the Barracudas, and is looking forward to another great season!

My name is Hannah Valdez! I'm currently studying at Grand Canyon University and majoring in nursing. I started my swimming career when I was 5 years old and swam for Bellair from 6 & unders all the way to 15-18's. I was also apart of the club teams, Team Neptune and Westside Silver Fins.

Former Coaches
Andrew Peterson
Andrew recently graduated from ASU with a degree in mechanical engineering. He has been a Barracuda since he was 4 years old and this season will be his 19th season with Bellair. A natural butterflier and a freestyler by choice Andrew has helped the team win championships both swimming and coaching. Andrew hopes to follow in the very large footsteps of past coaches, and continue to make the Barracudas be the best part of everyone's summer. Oh and Peter Piper Pizza is his favorite food.
Andrew is currently a mechanical engineer at Cummins, Inc., Indiana
Tommy Beguin
Tommy attended Northern Arizona University where he was a member of the Track & Field team and graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. He is currently a 2nd year Med student pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University. He has been a proud member of the Bellair Barracuda Swim Team since he was 4 years old and is entering his sixth year of coaching and third year as head coach. Tommy has never been compared to an animal, because no animal can compare with his speed. He is the former record holder of the DSL 9-10 boys 25yd Freestyle and would love nothing more than for a fellow Barracuda to reclaim the record. He also loves Peter Piper Pizza and winning championships. GO CUDAS!!

Dani Kurbat
Dani graduated from Mountain Ridge High school in 2009 where she was captain of the swim team and received a full ride to Arizona State University for academics. She graduated in May, 2013 with a dual certification in Elementary and Special Education and is now teaching! Dani has been a Barracuda since the age of 7, setting records in both butterfly and freestyle. She will be entering her third year of coaching and is hungry for a fourth team championship!
Dani is a proud and happy mother of a 1 year old girl and pregnant with her 2nd.
Jesse Zimmerman
Jesse graduated from Deer Valley High School in 2012 and she is currently attending Arizona State University on scholarship, pursuing a dual major in Criminology and Psychology. She was the 2011 backstroke champion in the DSL. At Deer Valley she earned medals at the 2011 Regional meet in the 100 backstroke, and as the backstroke swimmer on her 200 Medley relay team. Jesse has swam with several teams across Phoenix, but finally stuck with Bellair, and though she no longer swims on the team, she plans on sticking around for quite some time.
Jesse graduated Summa Cum Laude from ASU in 2015. She is currently pursuing a career in public service with the City of Phoenix.

Webmaster: Lindsay Hartgraves
Lindsay graduated from Mountain Ridge High School in 2009, where she was captain of the swim and track teams and the 2009 DVUSD female athlete of the year. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2012, and has just finished her masters degree through the Teach Arizona program (UA). Lindsay has been a Barracuda since the age of six and is looking forward to helping with the website. Lindsay has been compared to both a dolphin and a mongoose in the pool; both lightning fast and graceful. Barracudas.....OOOOOH AHHHH!!

Volunteer: Maynard Keenan
Maynard has been involved with the Bellair Swim Team since 1985. He manages all of the administrative functions and runs the home meets. He has also been on the Desert Swim League Board since 1990 and directs many operational functions. Maynard has a BS in Mathematics from UCLA and a MBA from Stanford. He's the man!
